Chinese Beef Sate
serves 10
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs flank, skirt, or sirloin steak, 1-inch thick, 1/4-in slices
2 T soy sauce
2 T hoisin sauce
2 T garlic, minced
1 1/2 T ginger, minced
30 ea skewers
Instructions
Whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger and fresh ground pepper. Toss with the beef strips, then refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight is best).
Weave the strips onto the skewers, then grill or broil.
Plate and serve.
